Kiosk Kristmas


You have all been asking about evening opening so I thought i would let you know about some of the supper clubs we will be having over the Christmas period. At Christmas every year I try and think about doing an alternative Christmas with some of the flavor inspiration of the traditional. This year I have been really excited about dried fruits, pomegranates, chestnuts and of course cinnamon, but also trying to get that feeling of warmth and nourishment that often gets over looked at Christmas by excess and richness. When Matthew,Layla and Vanya (our egg and lamb farmers) mentioned they were slaughtering some of their grass fed hoggart I could not resist. So the menu this year is £20 for our 2 pop up nights Saturday the 17th and Friday the 23rd is: To start: Rustic lentil soup served with small food sough dough For main: Dirty aubergine souvlaki, Slow roasted aubergine, drizzled in tahini and sprinkled with roast cauliflower scratchings, pine nuts and pomegranates, wrapped in a soft flat bread. or Aromatic slow cooked lamb souvlaki, Slow cooked lamb infused with rich aromatic spices and dried fruit, accompanied by soft roasted aubergine pickles and a flat bread. Served with: Date and feta green salad and Greek chestnut pilguri For Sweet: Sweet and nutty Baklava Stuffed figs with almonds dipped in dark chocolate tahini stuffed fig We will also be doing some wholesome and nutritious suppers for those of you who are burning the candle at both ends or maybe you are working or shopping and need a quick tea we are doing a mezze plate with a sweet for £9.50 I know its good hay! from 12-8 Thursday 15th, Friday 16th and Thursday 22nd To further the beautiful Christmas wonders we will be serving wonderful booze sourced from local small suppliers!
